A plan for your trip, and a travel companion who already knows it

Fingerpost plans your trip, then chats with you through it.

Answer a few questions about where you're going and what you love. We build the day-by-day plan. Once you leave, you chat with your travel companion, June, in the voice you pick, anytime you need something. June isn't a person — she's a computer helper with good manners, set up by people who planned their own trip this way.

Built for travelers who'd rather not manage five apps, and for the family member setting the trip up for them.

Simple, start to finish

How it works

For a weekend away or a month abroad, close to home or across an ocean: any trip from two days to a month.

  1. 1 · Tell us about your trip

    An interview

Where you're going, how many days, who's coming, what you love and what you'd rather skip. About fifteen minutes, from your phone or your computer. Nothing to install.

  2. 2 · Your plan

    A full day-by-day plan

Real places and real times, not a list of links to sort through yourself. Change anything, anytime, before you go. Nothing is locked in.

  3. 3 · During the trip

Chat with your travel companion, June

June comes along, in the voice you pick. Once you land, chat with her about questions, changes, or just to ask what's good nearby. Answers come back like a text from a friend who knows the place.

Planning, not booking

This isn't where you book anything.

We don't sell flights, hotels or tickets, and we don't take a commission for sending you somewhere.

In the spirit of the classic guidebook: real judgment about where to go and what to skip, not a page of links to click and pay. The plan is built around good judgment: what's worth the detour, what's overrated, and what to do with the loose hour before dinner. You book the things you want to book, the way you already do.

After the trip

A journal while you travel, a keepsake when you're home

Add a photo and a line or two each day. June asks, gently, so it never feels like homework. Your journal and photos collect in one place, and the people at home can follow along as the trip happens. When you're back, it's all there to keep: the route, the days, the pictures, your own words. Want it on paper? A printed book is an optional add-on.

Questions people ask

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be good with technology?

No. If you can send a text message, you can use Fingerpost. Your plan opens right in your phone's browser. Nothing to install, unless you want the home-screen shortcut, and even that's one tap with a picture showing you how.

Does it use my data plan?

Very little. Fingerpost is built to be light: small photos, no video that plays on its own, no map constantly loading in the background. A whole day's plan, photos included, is far smaller than a single video someone sends you.

Can my daughter set it up for me?

Yes, a lot of families do it exactly that way. Whoever sets it up becomes the planner and can invite you and anyone else with one link. You can also do the whole thing yourself; it's built to be simple either way.

What if my plans change while I'm traveling?

Chat with your travel companion. Missed a train, want to add a day, too tired for the big hike: say so, and you'll get a new plan for the rest of the day from an AI that's already read your itinerary. It's solid enough to act on, but worth a quick check for anything time-sensitive, like a train or a booking.

Is this the same as other travel-booking apps?

No. Fingerpost doesn't sell flights, hotels or tickets, and doesn't take a commission for sending you anywhere. It plans; you book, the way you already do.

Why not just ask ChatGPT?

You can, but it doesn't know your trip. Your travel companion already has your dates, your hotel, your booked dinner and today's weather before you ask; you don't have to re-explain your trip every time you open a new chat.

What happens to my photos?

They're stored privately for your trip and only visible to the people you've shared it with. We don't sell your data. Full details are on our privacy page.
